    The project of the School Complex in Gromnik entitled \u201dTell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Let me do and I will understand\u201d<\/strong>, harmonizes with the educational policy of the European Union in the area of establishing contacts between countries. The project will allow the school to continue and develop the mission of openness to Europe, the acceptance of cultural diversity and the pursuit of common values. The policy of our institution assumes strengthening its European dimension on various levels. Achieving this dimension requires developing students\u2019 strengths and working to improve weaker areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The latter\ninclude: language and digital skills, knowledge of other cultures, initiative\nand entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our project is based on the European School Development Plan and is consistent with its objectives. Its main conceptual assumptions are: strengthening the European dimension and developing international student cooperation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In these areas, we set specific goals for students who are more likely to learn through participation in mobility. The number of children involved in educational projects on the eTwinning platform will also grow. Young people will develop digital, language, civic and social competences. They will also acquire knowledge in the field of geography, history, culture, art and politics of other EU countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Project activities will also contribute to broadening the horizons and worldview of students, learning tolerance, openness to other cultures and nations, as well as exchanging experiences with peers from Europe. The participants of the project will pay more attention to the opportunities offered by educational mobility and will see the opportunities offered by being operational on the European education and labor market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The project is interdisciplinary and forms part of the core curriculum of many school subjects. The students will develop skills not only in the field of STEM. The main theme will be \u201dGlobal effects of environmental pollution<\/strong>\u201d. The students\u2019 attention will be focused on air, water and soil pollution. They will try to compare the condition of the natural environment in Poland and Portugal and assess the people\u2019s approach to this topic. What is more, the participation in the project will enable a group of 10 students to establish contacts with their peers from Portugal, get to know each other and achieve common goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
