W dniach 15-29 lipca 2022r. uczestniczy\u0142am w kursie metodologicznym, kt\u00f3ry odby\u0142 si\u0119 w ramach programu Erasmus+. Zaj\u0119cia odbywa\u0142y si\u0119 w szkole j\u0119zykowej Alpha School of English na Malcie. Podczas kursu, \u201eCreative Methodologies,\u201d poznawa\u0142am metody nauczania rozwijaj\u0105ce kreatywno\u015b\u0107 uczni\u00f3w oraz ciekawe, kreatywne scenariusze lekcji i zaj\u0119\u0107. Kurs sk\u0142ada\u0142 si\u0119 z dw\u00f3ch modu\u0142\u00f3w. W pierwszym tygodniu, modu\u0142 \u201eCreative Classroom\u201d oferowa\u0142 zaj\u0119cia, podczas kt\u00f3rych omawiali\u015bmy r\u00f3\u017cne sposoby nauczania, oceniali\u015bmy swoje metody dydaktyczne, uczyli\u015bmy si\u0119 wykorzystywania piosenek, scenek dramatycznych i r\u00f3\u017cnego rodzaju aktywno\u015bci artystycznych podczas lekcji. W kursie uczestniczyli nauczyciele z wielu europejskich kraj\u00f3w: Polski, S\u0142owacji, Czech, W\u0119gier, Niemiec, Hiszpanii oraz W\u0142och. Wszyscy uczestnicy kursu byli bardzo otwarci i przyja\u017ani. Podczas wyjazdu nawi\u0105za\u0142am cenne kontakty, kt\u00f3re pozwol\u0105 naszej szkole na rozwijanie wsp\u00f3\u0142pracy mi\u0119dzynarodowej.<\/p>\n\n\n

Opr\u00f3cz niezapomnianych widok\u00f3w i wspania\u0142ej architektury, wycieczka pozwoli\u0142a nam na lepsze zapoznanie si\u0119 z histori\u0105 Malty. W ostatni dzie\u0144 tej cz\u0119\u015bci szkolenia podsumowali\u015bmy wszystko czego nauczyli\u015bmy si\u0119 do tej pory i przygotowywali\u015bmy prezentacje lub raporty z zaj\u0119\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jedynym negatywnych aspektem wyjazdu, kt\u00f3ry psu\u0142 rado\u015b\u0107 zwiedzania, by\u0142y wszechobecne \u015bmieci. Jest to powa\u017cny problem wyspy, kt\u00f3ry pokazuje jak wa\u017cna jest nieustanna edukacja proekologiczna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zdecydowanie polecam odwiedzenie Malty i skorzystanie z oferty Alpha School of English. Malta przyci\u0105ga nie tylko pi\u0119knymi zabytkami, bogat\u0105 histori\u0105 i szko\u0142ami j\u0119zykowymi na wysokim poziome, ale przede wszystkim otwarto\u015bci\u0105 i serdeczno\u015bci\u0105 rdzennych mieszka\u0144c\u00f3w wyspy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erasmus+ exchange programme \u2013 \u2018\u2018Z g\u0142ow\u0105 w chmurze \u2013 cyfryzacja drog\u0105 do innowacyjnej edukacji\u2019\u2019 \u2013 report from Malta.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This summer, from July 15th<\/sup> to 29th<\/sup>, I participated in a methodology course which was a part of the Erasmus+ exchange programme. The classes took place in Alpha School of English in Malta. During the course, \u201cCreative Methodologies,\u201d I learnt about techniques which help to develop students\u2019 creativity and was presented with interesting, creative scenarios and lesson plans. The course consisted of two modules. The first module, \u201cCreative Classrooms,\u201d offered classes in which we discussed different methodologies and reflected on our teaching techniques, discussed and explored ideas for drama, music and art-based activities. Teachers from many European countries took part in the classes \u2013 they came from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Spain and Italy. All participants were very open-minded and friendly. The exchange programme enabled me to make valuable connections which will help our school to expand the range of our international cooperation. During the first week of the course, as part of cultural training, the school organized a trip to Mdina, \u201cthe Silent City,\u201d Malta\u2019s old capital. We also visited the more modern city of Rabat which surrounds Mdina. Apart from unforgettable views and wonderful architecture, we got to learn more about Malta\u2019s history. The last day of the first module was devoted to reflection and dissemination \u2013 we prepared presentations and reports about everything we learnt so far in the course.<\/p>\n\n\n

The second module, \u201cFuture Focus,\u201d included classes on audio-visual and social-media style activities, flipped classrooms, remote learning and techno-teaching. As part of cultural training, this time we went on a trip to Valetta, Malta\u2019s current capital city. We were amazed with the city\u2019s history, architecture and unique atmosphere. We went to a 5D cinema and learnt about the history of the island and its capital in an interactive way. At noon, we saw the firing of the cannons from the 16th<\/sup> century saluting battery built by the Order of St. John (the famous Knights of Malta). Today, the gun fire is a tourist attraction but this tradition goes back to the old days when the shots informed the sailors on ships in the harbor or at sea, and also the residents of the city, about the time of day. An obligatory stop on our sightseeing tour was St. John\u2019s Co-Cathedral dripping in gold and the home to some of Caravaggio\u2019s paintings. In Valetta we also tried the local cuisine and tasted Maltese wine. The last day of the second module was also devoted to reflection and dissemination \u2013 we shared our reports and presentations with other course participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from improving our didactic methods we also took advantage of the attractions offered by St. Paul\u2019s Bay, Bugibba \u2013 the town we stayed in during the course. Despite the unimaginably high temperatures, we tried to explore the island as much as possible. We took
a boat trip to Gozo Island and went on a \u201chop-on hop-off\u201d tour \u2013 driving around the island in
a double-decker bus. One of the biggest attractions in Gozo were the neolithic temples built around 3000 BC. We also went to the beautiful Maltese beaches – Golden Bay, Ghadira Bay, Bugibba Bay. We visited Dingli village and spent an evening admiring the famous Dingli Cliffs. The only negative aspect of our stay, which definitely spoiled our sightseeing tours, was the ubiquitous litter. It is a serious problem which shows how important continuous pro-ecological education is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            I definitely recommend visiting Malta and taking advantage of the courses offered by Alpha School of English. Great monuments, rich history, top-level language schools along with the kindness and open-mindedness of the local inhabitants continually attract tourists from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
